The Culture and the Arts Development Office (CADO) was established officially as a separate office supervised by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) under the Office of the Vice - President for Academic and Student Affairs (VPASA) Cluster.

The Office of the Culture and the Arts is committed to developing creative, unique, inventive, and multi-talented artists who propagate cultural heritage, leading to regional, national, and international honor, prestige, and recognition.

We envision the Culture and the Arts as a cultural group capable of providing flexible and sound training to students and faculty members dedicated to developing skills, leadership potential, and expertise in various art forms.

To cater to students gifted with diverse talents and potentials, providing quality, creative, and culturally oriented training to ensure well-rounded members capable of artistic expression.

1910-1998

Foundation

Started as farm school, then converted as provincial trade school, and later became Ramon Magsaysay Polytechnic College (RMPC).

February 12, 1998

through the initiative of the late Congressman Antonio M. Diaz. The University Charter integrated the former Ramon Magsaysay Polytechnic College (RMPC) in Iba, the Western Luzon Agricultural College (WLAC) in San Marcelino, and the Candelaria School of Fisheries (CSF) in Candelaria. Upon the effectivity of the University Charter (RA 8498) the position of WLAC was Converted into a University President. Then incumbent WLAC President, Dr. David B. Andres, became the Transition University President until February 02, 2000.

February 12, 2001

Dr. Feliciano S. Rosete served as University President upon RMTU's full operation as a multi-campus university system.

2002

RMTU-Masinloc Campus was established. 2004 - RMTU-Sta. Cruz Campus was established.

June 2003

upon the expiration of the term of President Feliciano S. Rosete, Dr. Elizabeth N. Farin was designated by the Board of Regents as Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the RMTY President Effective

February 14, 2013. March 20, 2013

In Special Meeting, the Board of Regents appointed Dr. Cornelio C. Garcia as President of the University from March 21, 2013 to March 20, 2017/ April 20, 2018 - By the virtue of Republic Act No. 11015 signed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, with Rep. Cheryl Deloso-Montalla as principal author, RMTU was rename to President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU).

February 03, 2021

Dr. Roy N. Villalobos succeeded Dr. Cornelio C. Garcia as the University President of PRMSU after the conduct of a successful "Search for New PRMSU President"amidst the CoVID-19 pandemic. No date/year - The Culture and the Arts Development Office (CADO) was established officially as a separate office supervised by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) under the Vice-President for Academic and Student Affairs (VPASA) Cluster.
